Backyard affected,the cleanup causes more environmental harm, doesn't address pedestrian safety - Overnight storm on 16 December 2025

Part of the Council and Carruthers response to Storm 4 was to deliberately direct mud into the creek !!!

• Council's contractor emptied the polluted retention basin into a stormwater pit and washed other pollution on the street and footpaths into the creek!!!

The cleanup included emptying the polluted retention basin water into a stormwater drain and hosing the dirt at the entrance to Dianella Court into stormwater drains. This just fed more pollution to the creek, making the environmental harm worse!!
