From construction, traffic and the noise from hundreds of neighbours, existing residents would lose the peaceful enjoyment of their own homes
Site clearing and construction noise over approximately 5 years. Then traffic, garbage truck and neighbour noise
120 or more dwellings of one or two bedrooms could realistically add over 200 cars to the neighbourhood, coming and going each day. It is not known if these cars can be accommodated on site. They may be expected to spill into the Dianella Court/Viola Place precinct bringing noise closer to existing residents.
After development, neighbours on the upper side of the existing residences would probably be woken by garbage trucks driving close to their bedroom windows.
Living in one of the homes on Dianella Court will be like living on a roundabout if the new road is built. It's a cruel idea.
The site is on the side of a hill. Even at two storeys and set back from the existing boundary, tenants would contribute neighbourhood noise to the Dianella Court / Viola Place precinct. Together this amounts to a loss of local amenity to a much greater degree than in other parts of Cooroy. The proposal is unbalanced.
